Of Darien’s top 20 highest paid employees, 18 work for Darien Public Schools. The district’s top administrators, Superintendent Dan Brenner and Assistant Superintendents Shirley Klein and Susie Da Silva have the town’s top three salaries; Finance Director Michael Feeney and DPS Human Resources Director Marjorie Cion earn the fifth and sixth most, respectively.

Darien High School Principal Ellen Dunn is the town’s fourth highest paid employee and each of the district’s seven principals are among the top 20 earning employees as well. DHS Assistant Principal Jacob Greenwood and Middlesex Middle School Assistant Principal Andrew Byrne made the list as well.

Town Administrator Kate Buch is the highest paid town employee and the 13th highest paid overall. Police Chief Ray Osborne is the only other non-school district employee in the top 20, at number 17.

Several of the school district’s operational staff members fill out the rest of the top 20, including Athletic Director Christopher Manfredonia, Instructional Technology Director Marc Marin, Music Director Rick Sadlon and Information Technology Director Jeffrey Adams.

First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, the town’s top elected official, earns a salary of $130,000, making her the ninth highest earning employee of the town but well below the top school district salaries.
