The Tiny Miracles Foundation prepares for "Where the Miracles Are"
The Tiny Miracles Foundation will hold its annual spring gala at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton May 7. This year's theme, "Where the Miracle's Are" is a whimsical journey into Maurice Sendak's children's fantasy world. The gala will include a live auction, cocktails, dinner and dancing. The attire is island chic.
Guests will be treated to an outdoor cocktail hour with gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound. During cocktails attendees can enjoy a fun-filled silent auction, passed hors d'oeurves, steel drum and marimba entertainment. After cocktails, there will be a sit down dinner and a video presentation. John Brazil Trio will entertain the crowd during the reception.
The highlight of the evening will be the live auction. This year's auction includes a trip to Villa Di Campolvngo in Florence, Italy, a vacation home in Sun Valley, a catered dinner party by Susan Caissy Caruso Special Events, New York Yankees Legacy Seats, Skip Barber Racing School, a stay at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island and more.
Current corporate sponsors of "Where the Miracles Are" include: Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport Hospitals, Callari Auto Group, The Center for Advanced Pediatrics, Broder & Orland LLC, Lamar Advertising, Baywater Properties, Charles Schwab and Kelly Associates Real Estate, Inc. Many local families and foundations are also supporting the event.
Proceeds from the event will support The Tiny Miracles Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families with premature babies in the greater Fairfield County area. In 2010, more than 800 local families were helped by the organization's various programs. The organization operates these programs with the help of more than 100 volunteers who know from personal experience that the premature birth of a child can be an isolating, confusing and frightening ordeal. TTMF currently provides most of their support programs at Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford Hospitals. Their hospital programs are designed to enhance the hospital's psycho-social support services and family centered care for these families during this fragile time.
