Stephen Falcone to speak at St. Luke's Discovery Hour

The speaker at St. Luke's Discovery Hour on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m. in the parish hall will be Darien Superintendent of Schools Stephen Falcone.

While the community knows schools are academic places that are focused on teaching and learning, Falcone will emphasize that they are also places where students learn to make sense of the world around them.

He will discuss how he is working to develop a school culture, curriculum and communication in Darien that impact students' understanding of their world, including the development of character and faith.

Falcone has been Darien's schools superintendent since 2010. His broad experience includes teaching history and social studies and serving as a principal, development director, dean of students and assistant superintendent. He attended Amherst, Wesleyan, Sacred Heart and UConn.
