Saint Luke's invites community to Christmas services
Darien's Saint Luke's Parish invites the public to join in worship and music to celebrate Christmas.
At 3 p.m., a Children's Christmas Eve Service, featuring the primary choir, is designed for children up to third grade. At 5:30 p.m, the Family Holy Eucharist will appeal to children in fourth grade and older. It includes music by the junior choir.
Later on Christmas Eve, Saint Luke's pulls out all the stops in two services of Festival Holy Eucharist, featuring the senior adult choirs along with instrumental Christmas music by organ and brass. At 7:30 p.m. is a Christmas music interlude followed by the service at 8 p.m. At 10 p.m., the Christmas music will repeat, followed by the service at 10:30 p.m.
Saint Luke's Christmas Eve services are heavily attended, so plan to arrive early for seating.
On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the parish will offer a 10 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist with organ and violin.
