Rowayton Arts Center calling all artists

Online submissions are now being accepted in an Open Call to Artists for the Rowayton Arts Center's "Photography and Sculpture," 2021 photgraphy art exhibit at the Rowayton Arts Center, (RAC,) from Saturday, August 1 through Sunday, August 29, 2021. The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 2, 2021. Accepted artists will be notified by Friday, July 9, 2021. The Rowayton Arts Center is accepting online submissions for its photography and sculpture art exhibit, which will run from Aug. 1 to 29.

The deadline for submissions is July 2. Accepted artists will be notified by July 9.

Joanna Bridges is chairing the exhibit, and Laure Dunne is co-chair. The judge is Debbie Hesse, a multidisciplinary artist, and gallery director at the Ely Center of Contemporary Art in New Haven. Hesse has served as an initiator and an activator in the local arts scene for many years.

During Hesse’s tenure at the New Haven Arts Council, she developed various community programs, and curated over 200 exhibitions.

The opening reception is Aug. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Follow the arts center on social media @rowaytonarts for more information.
