Registration is under way at the Darien Arts Center for all summer programs.

All aspects of the arts are represented -- from music to dance to theater and visual arts. Toddlers to seniors will find opportunities to engage the creative spirit throughout the entire summer.

Summer classes at the DAC, which are well attended, allow for more creative freedom than at other times of the year when children and adults are busier. Early registration is encouraged.

"Summer is traditionally a time to take a break and focus on fun. It's a great time to plan on enhancing a creative skill. The DAC truly offers something for everyone," said Executive Director Amy Allen

Workshops offered include art, dance, theater production, duo piano, and preschool summer art and dance. The varied classes include ballet, choreography, martial arts, pilates, cartooning, sculpture, painting, musical theater performance, more group music classes and individual private music instruction. New to the DAC this year are ukulele classes.

There is a 10 percent discount available for siblings.
