An attempted motor-vehicle burglary was reported on Old Kings Highway North at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12. The vehicle's owner found a stick wedged between the front passenger window and the frame of the car and a wrench in the window of his 2005 Subaru Legacy. The vehicle was locked, and a handheld Playstation and a laptop were both left in plain sight. No entry was gained and nothing was taken, according to police. There are no suspects.

A black 2008 Lexus RX400 was vandalized while travelling east on Hanson Road between 2:45 and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, according to police. The vehicle's owner heard something hit the roof of her car as a school bus passed her heading in the other direction. The next morning, the owner found white paint splattered on the top and along the left side of the vehicle, according to police.

Two motor-vehicle break-ins were reported at separate residences on Hollow Tree Ridge Road during the morning of Saturday, Oct. 17. Both cars were left unlocked in their driveways overnigaht. Police have no suspects.

The owner of a 2001 Lexus ES330 reported $450 cash taken from his wallet. He had left the wallet in the car's center console at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 16. When he returned to the car at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, he found the wallet, credit cards and driver's license scattered on the floor of the vehicle.

The owner of a 2003 Honda Pilot reported an iPod Nano and an iTrip cassette device stolen from his car. He had last seen the items at 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 16; he found them missing at 8 a.m. on Oct. 17. Both items were left in plain view.

Shannon Durham, 21, of Norwalk, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. Durham was driving a 2009 Honda Civic east on the Post Road when a police officer noticed sparks coming from the vehicle. The officer stopped the car and found that the right front tire was gone. Durham said she may have hit a curb, according to police. The officer noticed the smell of alcohol on Durham's breath, police said. Durham failed her field sobriety test, according to police. She posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Kevin Grant, 18, of Shady Acres Lane, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sunday, Oct. 18.

He was released was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19.

Krisztina Augusztun, 33, of Fairfield, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. According to police, Augusztin nearly stuck a police cruiser while driving a 2000 Mercedes ML320 toward Post Road on Tokeneke Road. Police stopped her on Interstate 95 and smelled the odor of alcohol in the car, police said. Augusztin failed her field sobriety test, according top police. She posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
