DARIEN — Police have released surveillance footage of a recent burglary at Frate’s Wines & Liquors.

The video is of a break-in from 3:45 a.m. Feb. 21, the third burglary at Frate’s since December.

During each burglary, the suspect entered the Post Road business by smashing out the front window of the store with a rock. Each time, the suspect took the cash drawer from the register and quickly left. In the first break-in, the man also took a keyboard and in the most recent incident, he broke a bottle of wine while entering the store.

Police later recovered the register drawers on Cove Road in Stamford.

According to police, the suspect is a white man with a heavy build, large nose and rough facial features. He appears to be in his late thirties to mid-forties. In two of the incidents, the suspect drove a dark sedan. In the third incident, he had a dark-colored, four-door, mid-size sedan with dark alloy rims. Police said the windows did not appear to be tinted.
