WILLINGTON — A truck driver faces charges after he allegedly tried to meet up with a teen at a local truck stop, state police said.

Trooper Donshea Holmes from the Tolland barracks, Troop C, responded to a Ruby Road home in Willington around 5:50 p.m. Sunday for a report of a suspicious incident, state police said.

Holmes learned that a man tried to meet up with a 15-year-old at a truck stop in Willington. The Connecticut State Police report on the arrest identified the man as a driver of a tractor-trailer truck.

The complaint led to the arrest of the driver, identified in the report as 45-year-old Shawn M. Arnold of Auburn, Maine.

Arnold was held on a $250,000 bond on charges of criminal attempt at one count each of risk of injury to a child, second-degree sexual assault and enticing a minor by computer.
