DARIEN — A 24-year-old Trumbull man who kept ducking at the sight of a Darien patrol car was arrested on a warrant, police said.

On Oct. 3 around 6:15 p.m., a patrol officer noticed Benjamin Patrick, of Oakridge Road, sitting in a car in a parking lot on the Post Road near CVS. When the Trumbull man saw the officer drive by in a marked patrol car, he ducked out of view. The officer drove by a second time and Patrick did the same thing. The officer then spoke with the Trumbull man and checked his information. A search revealed Patrick had an active warrant out of Norwalk for driving under the influence and reckless driving.

After confirming the warrant, Patrick was handcuffed and detained in a patrol car. Norwalk Police responded and took Patrick into custody.
