The fourth annual mother/daughter Nutcracker tea will be held at the beautiful Darien Community Association (DCA) mansion on Sunday, December 1 from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m, festively decked out for the holidays. A delicious menu, provided by Palmer’s Catering, will include traditional tea sandwiches (such as smoked salmon and caper), long stem strawberries dipped in dark chocolate, holiday cookies and assorted teas. For the children, festive sandwich cut-outs and raspberry lemonade will be served. Dancers from the Darien Arts Center will entertain the audience with abbreviated Scenes from the Nutcracker.

This event sold out quickly last year. Grandparents are welcome, too. Let the DCA know any seating preferences or dietary requirements, and the DCA will try to accommodate. Santa Energy has provided underwriting support for this event.

Fees are $35 for children and $50 for adults. Prepayment is required by noon on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and may be made online at dariendca.org or 203-655-9050 extension 10. The DCA is located at 274 Middlesex Road in Darien.
