Featuring more than 30 dealers from throughout New England, the 47th Darien Antiques Show will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9, at First Congregational Church, 18 Brookside Road.

The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. A cafe will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and will be serving lunch.

The show highlights a diverse assembly of fine furniture from 17th-century to mid-century modern and original art, porcelain, prints, rugs, jewelry and decorative items.

New this year will be Lillian H. Ostergard Ltd., which will offer fine and custom jewelry. Ostergard's pieces feature nature and animals, and she uses pearls, crystals and diamonds in her pieces that are all 18-carat yellow or white gold or platinum.

Proceeds from the volunteer-run show will aid First Congregational Church for its outreach programs.

The Darien Antiques Show weekend will kick off with a preview party from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 7. Liberation Programs, of Norwalk, is the event's beneficiary. Liberation Programs specializes in treatment for substance abuse.

Tickets are $50 at the door and include weekend admission to the show. Guests will have an opportunity to view the antiques, make early purchases before the show opens to the public and take part in a silent auction. Wine, hors d'oeuvres and live jazz music will be featured.
