In honor of the National Day of Writing, Middlesex Middle School students challenged themselves to do their most creative writing but have it fit on a Post-It Note.

MMS' third annual Post-It Writing Contest took place Oct. 20 and was a literary success, producing a wide variety of creatively written notes. Some MMS students filled their Post-Its with long elaborate stories told in tiny print while others chose brief but insightful messages conveyed in a few select words.

Prizes were awarded for best entry in each grade level, as well as foreign language. Post-It winners include eighth-grader Isa Johnsten, seventh-grader Candice Wang, sixth-grader Erin Corrigan and Eric Liu for foreign language.

Prizes for the grade-level winners were donated by Barrett Bookstore, and the foreign language department supplied a prize for the foreign language winner.
