Darien Library's sixth annual gala -- "The ART -- T|E|A -- Party" -- at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, will highlight technology, engineering and the arts.

Sponsored by Darien Rowayton Bank, the gala will feature music by Doug Allen, flowers by Nielson's Florists, entertainment by Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, food by Simply Creative Catering and silent and live auctions.

Funds raised from the event will be dedicated to expanding library resources, including purchasing new books and supporting programs and guest speakers.

Kerrie Kelley, one of the event co-chairmen, said, "This is a fabulous event that supports the library -- the heart of Darien. Here's a chance to be with your friends, enjoy music, entertainment, food and drink, all the while doing good for a great organization that means so much to the community."

Kristin Calve, the other co-chairman, added, "You can be sure of two things at this year's gala -- you'll have fun, and you'll leave knowing you've helped the library. We're going to have some attractive silent and live auction items, and all the proceeds go directly to the Library's collections, services, programs and resources."

The committee members are Millyn Gasserud, Anne Holmes, Susan Massey, Kate Lyons, Jessica Blouin and Nicole Lyons.

Tickets are $150. For information, visit www.darienlibrary.org or call 203-655-1234.
