Five cars were forcibly entered while parked in the Darien YMCA parking lot, 2420 Post Road, March 20, according to police.

Each of the cars was locked and had a window smashed, the police report stated.

Taken from a white 2013 Ford Edge was a red purse that was on the driver's seat. The purse, according to the report, contained $1,070, a checkbook and debit and identification cards.

Taken from a green 2011 Honda Odyssey were a Whole Foods reusable bag, seven blue mesh workout shirts, five pink sponge balls for working out and two grey stroller bags, police said. The owner estimated the value of all the items to be $186, according to the report.

Taken from a black 2012 Jeep Cherokee were a brown business cardholder, two credit cards and an employee building access card for the complainant's place of work, according to police.

Taken from a red 2014 Toyota Highlander were grey Kate Spade purse, a checkbook, $150, a wallet, five credit cards and a platinum double-band ring with more than a dozen small diamonds valued at $2,400, police said.

Taken from a blue 2011 GMC Acadia were a brown wallet, four credit cards and $40, police said.

The parking lots video surveillance is being reviewed, police said.
