DARIEN — Together time—and a fun time—were at the heart of Sunday evening’s second annual New Canaan Father Daughter Dance, held at Woodway Country Club.

A semi-formal affair featuring corsages, catered cuisine, and even a waltz lesson, it was also a light and airy event, with glow sticks and French fries bringing many of the smiles.

“What I like about it is it’s a very grown-up evening,” said co-organizer Jane Benton of Elm Street Events in New Canaan. “We have very good food for the dads … candlelight and corsages.”

“We find that the kids really like it when it’s a grown-up evening with dad,” she said.
