DARIEN — Several environmental groups from around Darien took part Saturday in helping to make Earth Day something to celebrate.

Cherry Lawn Park, and the Darien Nature Center, hosted a scavenger hunt that gave families a chance to learn a little something about nature, sustainability, and making it a greener planet.

Rain feel intermittently, but there were still smiling faces at the pond looking for tadpoles and around a roaring fire where marshmallow were roasted.
