DARIEN — “Make America Great Britain again,” declared the British Theatre Group of Darien in its 25th annual production Saturday afternoon at Town Hall.

An original performance of “Sleeping Beauty,” barred with British wit and lots of silliness, was performed by a lively group of area women and children.

“The British expats living in town … all felt like they wanted to do something that was like being home,” said co-founder Angela Chamberlin of Darien, noting that British Pantomimes such as these are usually done around Christmas time.

“It’s really grown,” said writer-director Adele Evershed of Wilton, with about 125 families from area participating in the group.
