DARIEN — The Tokeneke Pumpkin Carnival returned this weekend after a year off due to the COVID pandemic.

The carnival had been held every October for more than 50 years and is one of the biggest fundraisers for the elementary school. It is organized by the Tokeneke Parent Teacher Organization with support from local businesses.

It featured rides, games, art activities, face painting and prizes. There were also food and drinks available from Darien restaurants, as well as traditional fairground snacks and baked goods.
