Hartford police: Man shot after car accident

HARTFORD — A man was shot Saturday night in the city after being involved in a motor vehicle accident, officials said.

Hartford Police officers responded to the area of Flatbush Avenue at the Interstate 84 on ramp around 11:56 p.m. for a report of shots fired, according to a statement by Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

While on scene, a man in his fifties arrived at an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said

According to police, it was determined that the man was shot after being involved in a minor motor vehicle accident.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation, police said.
