For second time, driver facing DWI charge
Michael Arnow, 27, of 148 Rollingwood, Stamford, was arrested on Sept. 22 on charges of driving while intoxicated, operating under suspension, failure to return a suspended license and failure to drive right.
Officers were dispatched to Hoyt Street near Woodway Country Club on the report of an erratic driver, according to the report.
The complainant was driving behind a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Hoyt Street and reported that the driver was driving over the double yellow line, police said. The officer observed Arnow drive over the yellow line and then execute a very wide turn onto Camp Avenue, where Arnow was pulled over, police said.
The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and noted that Arnow's speech was slurred, according to police. When Arnow exited the vehicle at the request of the officer, he was unsteady on his feet, according to police.
When the officer Arnow how much he drank, he replied with "a couple," police said. He failed a field sobriety test, according to the report.
Police said this was Arnow's second DWI arrest.
He posted $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 1.
