State Senator Bob Duff, D-Norwalk, will host a "CL&P Community Conversation: Reaction and the Road Ahead" Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. in the community room of Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk.

Speaking on the panel will be Chris Swan, customer relations representative at CL&P and Chief Denis McCarthy, Chief of the Norwalk Fire Department and director of Emergency Operations.

The agenda will begin a CL&P presentation, followed by Norwalk's emergency operations personnel presenting their response to the recent Winter Storm Alfred, followed by an open question and answer period from the audience.

Also, with the potential for severe weather and power outages this winter, the Norwalk Fire Department will take this opportunity to remind families to be prepared.

This month, the Norwalk Office of Emergency Management began selling multipurpose radios (radio, NOAA channel, flashlight, crank-powered and cell phone chargers) with the hope that residents will add them to their home emergency preparedness kits.

These radios/hand-crank cell phone chargers are available at the Fire Department offices, and a limited supply will be available at the Community Conversation with Senator Duff.
