Now that COVID-19 vaccines are being approved in the United States, they must be taken to be effective. While there is reticence by some to be inoculated, it is widely accepted that the newly approved vaccine is safe and effective. 75% to 85% of Americans need to take the COVID-19 vaccine for it to make the desired impact, according to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
While vaccines are being approved, it is still necessary to be safe until the desired number of people receive them. With continued holiday gatherings and events, it is especially important to practice personal prevention of becoming infected with COVID-19 or exposing others.
