The Depot is offering a brown bag lunch on Thursday, Jan. 16, to help attendees better understand eating disorders.

The lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Depot Youth Center with Dr. Elizabeth Ortiz-Schwartz, chief of the Adolescent Transitional Living Program at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan.

Dr. Ortiz-Schwartz is about giving adolescents and their families the tools to manage challenging behaviors, regulate emotions, better understand their difficulties, and improve communications in order ot set out in a differnt course.

In this discussion, she will cover eating disorders in teens — what casues them, how to recognize them and how they are treated.
