A search warrant at 7 Glenwood Drive led to two arrests Sunday, Darien police said.

Maria Devico, 48, was arrested on charges of the sale of a controlled substance, second-degree reckless endangerment and possession of narcotics. Marc Devico, 49, was arrested on a charge of violating a protective order.

The two were involved in a domestic incident last year, which led to the protective order against him, according to police.

Sgt. Jeremiah Marron said the department's newly established Selective Enforcement Unit had been investigating numerous reports of suspicious activities at that property.

"This has been a residence that has been reported to us for numerous reasons for the past four or five months," Marron said.

Police conducted a months-long investigation of the Glenwood Drive residence, including monitoring the home for some time and interviewing a juvenile who said he bought Alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, from the woman, according to the report. On Feb. 16, police applied for a search warrant, which was signed by a judge in Greenwich that same day, police said.

While conducting the search, officers located numerous items, including drug paraphernalia -- such as containers with marijuana residue, glass smoking pipes, rolling papers and scales -- and prescription medications, according to the report.

Police concluded that Maria Devico had been selling at least one of those medications, Alprazolam, for which she had a prescription, Marron said.

While searching the property, police found Maria Devico's husband hiding behind a boiler in the basement, according to the report. Police also found the couple's daughter, Nicole Devico, 23, in possession of a small glass pipe containing a small amount of marijuana, Marron said. The younger woman was issued an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, according to police.

Maria Devico posted $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 26. Marc Devico posted $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear due in court Feb. 18.

Maria Devico was arrested on a sale of a controlled substance charge in September. Marc Devico was arrested on charges of second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order in October 2012. Last April, he was again arrested on a charge of violating a protective order. All charges are still pending and they're both scheduled to appear in court later this month.
