Darien's Sunday forecast: Sunny start for Daylight Savings Time
Skies on this first day of Daylight Savings Time -- clocks were to "spring" ahead at 2 a.m. today -- should be sunny across southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
The daytime high temperature will reach about 50 degrees, and there will be a west wind between 8 and 18 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 31, the NWS says. A northwest wind will clock in at between 7 and 11 mph.
Tomorrow will also be sunny, with a high near 46. Nighttime will be clear as the temperature falls to a low of about 30 degrees.
The region's sunny spell should continue Tuesday with temperatures in the mid-40s.
But by Wednesday things don't look as bright, as the NWS predicts there is a chance of rain under cloudy skies as a prelude for St. Patrick's Day on Thursday. The temperature is expected to be in he mid-40s.
