A Milford woman is facing narcotics charges after an undercover investigation by Darien Police.

According to the report, an officer arranged to purchase $200 worth of cocaine from Zita Lyons, 52, on Monday, July 30. Originally, they were set to meet in Darien, but ended up meeting at the I-95 southbound service station in Fairfield at about 3:20 p.m.

The report stated that Lyons provided the undercover officer with a description of her vehicle which she was standing next to do when the officer arrived. She was taken into custody by a team of backup officers.

During a search, police said a white napkin fell out of her right pants leg that police said contained a plastic bag filled with 2.6 grams of cocaine. According to police, a second bag was found on her which contained 1.4 grams of heroin.

Lyons posted $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 10.
