Darien forecast: Umbrellas needed all weekend
Rain is falling early today across southwestern Connecticut, setting the stage for scattered showers and cloudy skies throughout the rest of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The early rain Saturday is expected to ease by about 10 a.m., the NWS says, but skies will remain cloudy and the daytime high temperature will reach only the mid-60s. More showers are possible this afternoon and evening.
Tonight, scattered showers are again possible. Skies will remain cloudy and the temperature will dip to about 50 degrees.
Tomorrow will bring more showers, mainly after 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies will clear a bit to become partly sunny and the high temperature will register about 67 degrees. Late Sunday, however, the threat of showers returns, mainly before midnight. The temperature will fall to about 50 degrees.
Monday, the NWS says there is a chance of showers, mainly before 2 p.m. The high temperature will reach a high in the mid-60s. There is a slight chance of showers at night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 53 degrees.
By Tuesday, the weather service predicts, skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 65.
