Darien and New Canaan first selectmen place friendly wager on Turkey Bowl
Once again, Darien and New Canaan First Selectmen have placed a bet on this year’s Turkey Bowl.
First Selectman Jayme Stevenson and First Selectman Kevin Moynihan have placed their annual friendly wager on the Turkey Bowl football game between the two towns.
The loser donates to $100 to either the New Canaan Athletic Foundation or the Darien Athletic Foundation. But Stevenson pointed out that regardless of the winner, both donated to the respective charities.
“I chose the DAF this year for all they’ve done for our community including the Cross Country track, Weed Beach Meadows project and the incredible coverage by DAF Media,” Stevenson said.
The game will kick off at 10 a.m., Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28. The Blue Wave is 5-0 this season, while the Rams are 3-2.
