Darien Scouts, from the Cub Scout and Scouts BSA program are seeking donations from people for a virtual holiday sale.

They are looking for donations of ornaments, holiday décor, stocking stuffers, small gifts, holiday recipe and storybooks, non holiday items such as jewelry, small collectibles, designer scarves, handbags, quality furniture, artwork, and home décor to be brought to the Scouts’ cabin at 140 West Ave. in Darien on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Scouts can be contacted at darienscouts@gmail.com for the pickup of larger items.

The holiday sale will then run online from Wednesday, Nov. 25, until Thursday, Dec. 10.

More details about this will be coming soon.

The sale is part of a series of online sales the Scouts are doing in place of their annual tag sale, which usually happens each year in May, and is next slated for May 2, 2021, at the Scouts’ cabin.

The sales are also a way the “Scouts are continuing to help the Darien community reduce, reuse and recycle,” “in response to limitations due to the ongoing (coronavirus) pandemic,” the Scouts said.

All proceeds from the sales go directly to supporting Darien scouting programs for boys and girls in kindergarten through the 12th grade.

Anyone who has “a quality item to donate at any time” is asked to “remember to Save It For The Scouts,” and contact darienscouts@gmail.com for further information about doing so.
