Darien Police recovered the blue yarmulke and the pea coat believed to have been worn during last Monday's bank robbery near the Goodwives Shopping Center.

According to Capt. Fred Komm, both articles of clothing were found behind the Bank of America, located at 7 Sedgwick Ave., shortly after the robbery.

Komm also said the man allegedly took off with a little more than $4,000.

Police are still looking for the suspect, described as a gray-haired white male, about 50 years old, 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, wearing a gray coat and gray or brown pants.

"There were no weapons displayed," Sgt. Jeremiah Marron said.

"He was last observed leaving on foot through the door that faces Goodwives Shopping Center," Marron said.

A single marked police car was parked near the bank on Sedgwick late Monday morning while bank employees remained inside the building.

The bank is at the corner of Sedgwick and Old Kings Highway North.
