Would you like to know more about how Darien government functions?

People often ask about how the RTM (Darien Representative Town Meeting) works or what issues the Board of Education is considering. Perhaps you would like to know how the mill rate is calculated, what planning, and zoning matters are being considered , and more importantly, how town boards work together to promote the quality of life in Darien.

Come learn about how decisions are made from leaders of town boards on issues that are important to you, and your family.

Join the League of Women Voters of Darien on May 20 at 7 p.m., for an online discussion with Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, Board of Finance Chairman Jon Zagrodzky , Board of Education Chairman David Dineen, Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Steve Olvany and RTM Moderator Seth Morton.

Questions from the audience will follow the presentations. The program will be held via Zoom and moderated by League member Jean Sweeney. The program is free, and open to the public. Use the registration link below to register for the webinar:

As noted above, presently, Russo serves as executive director of The Campaign School at Yale University, a non-partisan, issue neutral political campaign training program for those interested in running for office, as well as for those interested in campaign management, and embrace the School’s mission of increasing the number of women in political levels of government at the local, state and federal levels. It’s five day campaign intensive training program, based at Yale Law School, is the leading program attracting individuals from the U.S., and internationally.
