The HAN Network will broadcast Saturday’s CIAC Class L boys lacrosse quarterfinal game pitting No. 8 Greenwich vs. No. 1 Darien. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m. at Darien High School.

Darien enters the game 17-0 against Connecticut teams and 20-0 overall, having beaten three teams from New York. The Blue Wave, winners of 51 straight games, topped the Cardinals 12-8 in a regular season matchup on May 13.

That loss to Darien is one of only two against Connecticut teams suffered by Greenwich this year. The Cardinals are 14-4 overall, 12-2 against Connecticut competition, the other in-state loss 8-7 in overtime to Wilton April 15.

In a first round game seen on the HAN Network Tuesday, Greenwich edged Staples in another matchup of FCIAC rivals, 12-11, on a late goal. Click here to watch that broadcast.

Darien knocked off No. 17 Conard 20-1 in the first round.

Frank Granito, Kevin Coleman, and Allison Gaskins will be on the call.
