DARIEN — Two purses were taken from a car whose windows were smashed while parked at the Darien Ice Rink.

On Dec. 9 around 1:30 p.m., the victim parked her car on the side of the Old Kings Highway North facility. Around 2:50 p.m., the rink announced a white 2017 Nissan Rogue had its windows smashed. The victim went outside to find it was her car that had been vandalized.

Taken from the vehicle were two handbags. Each contained several credit, debit, ID and gift cards, as well as checks and small amounts of cash.

There were no witnesses or video footage of the incident. Police are continuing to investigate.
