CT state police make 41 DUI arrests during holiday enforcement

Connecticut State Police reported multiple speeding violations, driving under the influence (DUI) arrests and other traffic statistics over the Thanksgiving season.

According to CSP’s Thanksgiving holiday traffic statistics from Saturday, the following incidents were reported on the road:

 Calls for service: 1,538

 Speeding violations: 135

 Seatbelt violations: 55

 Other hazardous violations: 94 (Includes unsafe lane change, following too closely, cell phone usage, and other violations.)

 DUI arrests: 11

 Accidents investigated: 123

 Accidents with reported injuries: 6

 Serious injuries: 0

 Fatalities: 0

Additionally, CSP reported the following Thanksgiving holiday traffic statistics from Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Saturday, Nov. 27:

 Calls for service: 5,949

 Speeding violations: 334

 Seatbelt violations: 72

 Other hazardous violations: 429 (Includes unsafe lane change, following too closely, cell phone usage, and other violations.)

 DUI arrests: 41

 Accidents investigated: 426

 Accidents with reported injuries: 36

 Serious injuries: 0

 Fatalities: 1
