BRISTOL — Police say they are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night.

Bristol officers responded to the intersection of Queen and High streets around 10:05 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired by someone who was inside a car, according to Lt. Geoffrey Lund, public information officer for the Bristol Police Department. Lund described the shooting as “not a random act of violence,” adding no known threat to the community exists. 

Investigating officers have identified the people involved, according to Lund. However, police not released their names or the charges they face.
