'Bridgerton' books are available from the Darien Library

The Darien Library is offering residents reading material to binge on their “Bridgerton” interest while they wait for the second season of the popular Netflix show to return.

The series smashed records with over 82 million households tuning in during its first month alone. The show is based on the first book in Julia Quinn’s popular romance novels. The Duke and I, first published in 2000, kicks off an eight-volume series about the lives and loves of the eight Bridgerton siblings. Beloved by romance fans since their initial release, the first book in the series recently spent several weeks at the top of the New York Times Bestseller list, propelled by interest from new fans of the show.

Four books that are similar to “Bridgerton” are also offered by the Darien Library.

Those books are “The Duchess Deal” by Tessa Dare, “The Duke Who Didn’t” by Courtney Milan,“ “One Good Earl Deserves Another” by Sarah Maclean and “Forbidden” by Beverly Jenkins.

The library is located at 1441 Post Road in Darien, Connecticut.
