BREAKING CURFEW: Police bring home Darien teens playing Pokemon Go
DARIEN—Police reported picking up three minors who were wandering the streets, playing Pokemon Go in the middle of the night on Monday, July 18.
Around 1:45 a.m., an officer traveling westbound on the Post Road saw three youths on the sidewalk. The officer questioned the teenagers, ages 13 and 14, who said they were out playing Pokemon Go on their phones. All the teens were from Darien and said they were planning on spending the night together.
The officer transported the teens back to the home where they were staying and contacted all parents involved, who said they were unaware the teens had left the home where they were staying.
Darien police said it is their policy to check in with youths who they see walking the streets alone at night.
