Women's health summit on tap soon
Dr. Laurie Schedgick-Davis will address guidelines for good family health with a roundup of childhood and adult screenings, and weight control and other risk factors for prevention of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Dr. Claudia Johnson-Baxter will provide recommendations for women to stay in good gynecological health throughout life with a review of self-care, screenings and medical support to maintain optimum health, whether in their 20s, 40s or 80s;
Dr. Peter Wilson will cover breast health basics with screening recommendations and a comprehensive overview of the expertise, technology, research and support services available to women through the hospital's comprehensive breast health program.
The panelists will follow a one-hour women's health expo with refreshments, giveaways and information on breast health, cardiovascular prevention, sleep medicine, and stress relief with integrative therapies such as massage, Reiki and healing drums.
