Scene… Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Michael Bolton was seen having dinner at Tony’s at the JHouse in Riverside last weekend. The Westport resident is hosting “The Celebrity Dating Game” with actress Zooey Deschanel, which airs on ABC at 10 p.m. Mondays. Also seen at the popular restaurant last week was WWE wrestler Brock “The Beast” Lesnar.
Out there… NHL greats Dominic Moore and Mike Richter and many others are hosting a charity event on Thursday, Aug. 12, at The Village in Stamford, for rare cancer and concussion research, including support for Greenwich-based Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation. The event, called Smashfest, is a pro/am ping-pong tournament pairing celebrities with local fans and offering fun, food and drinks with your favorite sports stars. Moore’s wife, Katie, passed away from fibrolamellar cancer, which makes supporting the FCF of particular importance to him. For tickets (on sale now) and more info, go to https://smashfest.ca/.
