St. Patrick’s Day booze ban in effect on Metro-North trains
On St. Patrick’s Day, Metro-North's 24-hour alcohol ban will be enforced on Metro-North trains, platforms and stations
MTA Police will be on-site throughout its territory, including Grand Central Terminal, to reinforce the no-alcohol rule.
The ban will be in place u ntil 12:01 a,m, Wednesday.
Metro-North also has booze bans on SantaCon in early December and on New Year’s Eve.
For the first time in more than 250 years. there will be no St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It has been postponed because of COVID-19 concerns.
The Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17 is also canceled. Please be safe an stay home. Tickets for the event cannot be honored because the event is canceled.
