Senior Moments group offers talk on Grand Centeral
Senior Moments, a coffee and conversation program designed specifically for seniors, will meet Tuesday, April 21, at 3 p.m. in the Louise Parker Berry Community Room of Darien Library for a lecture on the history of Grand Central Station. This recently restored Beaux Arts masterpiece has remained one of New York's most famous transportation landmarks since it was built in 1913. Learn about this iconic travel hub, which bisects Manhattan's Park Avenue and boasts 44 train platforms on two levels during this event.
Support for Senior Moments is provided by the Connecticut State Library and the Institute for Museum and Library Sciences, an independent federal agency whose mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas.
