MILFORD — A local man was arrested for driving under the influence Saturday night after allegedly crashing a motorized scooter into the vehicle in front of him.

According to police reports, officers responded to Milford Point Road near Casco Street on the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorized scooter. Police said an investigation led to the arrest of Justin Cronin, 34, of Milford, who is accused of operating under the influence after allegedly rear-ending a vehicle in front of him.

Cronin refused to provide a breath sample, police said. In addition to operating under the influence, Cronin was charged with operating without a driver’s licence. His bond was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 8.
