Gov. Lamont thanks veterans at Glenville Memorial Day Parade
GREENWICH — Glenville honored the town’s fallen veterans with a parade and ceremony to mark Memorial Day.
Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont and U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, both Greenwich residents, were in attendance along with State Reps. Livvy Floren, Fred Camillo, and Steve Meskers, and First Selectman Peter Tesei.
U.S. Navy Air Force veteran Anthony William Muskus was awarded the Covey Cup Foundation Certificate of Appreciation for his service in World War II.
The ceremony included a presentation of a wreath, performance of “Taps,” remarks from dignitaries, and reading of the names of Glenville’s veterans killed in action.
