Darien forecast: Rainy all day
Today will be wet -- and, at times, possibly wild -- as precipitation stalls over southwestern Connecticut for much of the day, according to the National Weather Service.
In issuing a "hazardous weather outlook" for the region, the NWS warns that some of the day's periodic storms could be strong, with downpours and gusty wind. The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to about 70 degrees, with a southeast wind 8 to 16 mph.
Rain, and possible thunderstorms, are also possible tonight as temperatures dip to the mid-50s with a north wind around 6 mph.
Tomorrow, there is a chance of showers, mainly before noon. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the upper-60s. Chance of precipitation is rated at 30 percent by the NWS. There is a slight chance of showers tomorrow night, as the temperature registers a low in the low-50s. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
On Sunday, precipitation is again possible under cloudy skies as the temperature rises to a daytime high of about 70 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. There remains a chance of showers Sunday night with a low temperature in the upper-50s. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny skies and temperatures about 70 degrees.
