The sunny, warming trend in southwestern Connecticut continues today with temperatures approaching 70 degrees -- and higher tomorrow.

Today, the daytime high temperature will rise to the upper-60s, according to the National Weather Service, with a west wind between 5 and 11 mph.

However, there is a chance of showers overnight, as clouds move in and the temperature registers a low in the low-50s.

Tomorrow, there remains a slight chance of showers in the morning, and although skies will be partially cloudy, the temperature is expected to rise into the upper-70s, the NWS says. Under cloudy skies, the nighttime temperature will decline to about 60 degrees.

On Monday, conditions will be sunnier and the temperature will again rise to the upper-70s. There is a slight chance of showers overnight and the low temperature will be in the upper-50s.

The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is for partly sunny skies and temperatures rising to the lower-70s.
