Alleged shoplifting leads to fugitive arrest in Milford
MILFORD — Police arrested an Indiana man on a fugitive warrant out of that state after he was allegedly caught shoplifting at the Walmart at 1365 Boston Post Road.
According to police reports, police responded to the Walmart at 5:17 p.m. Monday on the report of a shoplifter in custody. An investigation led to the arrest of James Worthington, 55, of Evansville, Ind. Worthington is accused of taking taking about $90 worth of merchandise from the store without paying.
Further investigation showed that Worthington had an active, fully extraditable warrant for his arrest out of Indiana.
He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and being a fugitive from justice. His bond was set at $151,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
