If the food is good, they will come. Whether the restaurant is a sea-wracked shack on a wharf or a large country house surrounded by sweeping lawns, if the food is good, they will come. Of course, if the setting is beautiful and the service exemplary, they will come in droves. That’s what Roxanne Spruance is banking on.
Roxanne is the newest chef to helm the kitchens at Bedford Post’s three restaurants — the Barn, the Farmhouse and the Terrace — a short ride in Westchester County from the Connecticut border. The restaurants nestle in a wooded cove of a Relais and Châteaux estate that includes an inn and a yoga studio for striking mind-calming poses while whispering “namaste.”
