New Canaan’s Kaleigh Harden was named the Player of the Year and the Rams’ earned Team of the Year honors when the Connecticut High School Coaches Association released its postseason awards on Tuesday.
New Canaan, which finished the season as the No. 1 team in the Connecticut Coaches Top 10 poll, captured its second straight FCIAC championship and won its first state title since 2018 with a 14-13 victory over Darien in the Class L final on June 11. It’s the first time the Rams have won FCIAC and CIAC crowns during the same season.
