These CT restaurants and caterers will make your Thanksgiving dinner

Let the experts do the work for Thanksgiving. These Connecticut restaurants and caterers will roast your turkey, bake your pies and serve you cocktails, so you can relax and enjoy family time.

Dine in

Artisan Restaurant in Southport hosts a three-course Thanksgiving dinner with entree choices of apple cider-brined Amish turkey with stuffing and sides, pumpkin ravioli, gouda-crusted halibut or Allen Brothers NY steak. Cost is $85 for adults, $45 for children 12 and under, and $15 for a kiddy menu.

At Artisan West Hartford, the three-course dinner features entrees of cider-brined turkey, halibut, NY steak or butternut squash acini di riso. Cost is $79 for adults, $39 for children 12 and under, and $17 for a kiddy menu.

The Wheel in Stamford, located at The Village, serves a special three-course menu on Thanksgiving day, with entree choices of herb-roasted turkey, roasted salmon or baby heirloom carrot tart. Sides are served family style. Cost is $65 per adult. 

Tavern at GrayBarns in Norwalk serves a $150 three-course prix-fixe menu (children's menu is $75.) Entree options include heritage turkey with cornbread stuffing, red wine braised short rib, roasted branzino filet or roasted honey nut squash. 

The Cottage's locations in Greenwich and Westport will both be open from 1 to 7 p.m., offering four-course prix-fixe meals. Cost is $95 for adults, $45 for children under 12. Menu information is available at thecottage.kitchen/westport and thecottage.kitchen/greenwich.

Reservations must be made by phone at 203-769-1220 (Greenwich) and 203-557-3701 (Westport.) A $50 deposit will be charged at the time of reservation, and is fully refundable (if cancelled outside of 72 hours) via a gift card.

Happy Monkey in Greenwich will be open Thanksgiving day with a special menu. Details to come; reservations can be made here.

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Specials, in addition to the a la carte menu, include hot spiced apple cider, pumpkin hummus, turkey breast, sweet potato gnocchi, apple buckle for two and more.

The Capital Grille, with locations in Hartford and Stamford, hosts Thanksgiving dinner in its dining room with a prix-fixe menu ($47 for adults, $17 for children) featuring roast turkey with brioche stuffing, French green beans, cranberry pear chutney and mashed potatoes served family style. Add-ons of mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin cheese are an additional cost. The regular menu is also available. 

The restaurant also offers a $135 package of sides for home dining, including brioche stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, French green beans, cranberry pear chutney and seeded rolls. All sides serve four. Place orders online at thecapitalgrille.com.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar  in West Hartford offers a three-course meal with entree selection of herb-roasted turkey, prime bone-in ribeye or petit filet mignon ($57 to $82.) Each meal comes with choice of soup or salad, family-style sides and choice of two desserts.

Millwright’s in Simsbury offers a $72 prix-fixe menu ($36 for children under 12) with choice of starter and entree. Main course options include organic roasted turkey, maple-glazed ham, NY strip, salmon or roasted honeynut squash. Sides and mini desserts are served family style. 

Millwright's also offers carryout, featuring a $200 full meal for four people. Choose roast turkey (breast and confit leg and thigh), roasted salmon, maple glazed ham or smoked beef sirloin as the protein, served with an assortment of sides. 

Fire at the Ridge in Middlefield hosts Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a four-course meal. Entrees include carving stations for turkey and filet mignon, rigatoni bolognese, eggplant parmesan and chicken piccata, with a selection of sides. Cost is $44 for adults, $24 for children ages 4 to 12. Reserve online at fireattheridge.com.

Griswold Inn in Essex offers a Thanksgiving buffet with entree choices of herb-roasted turkey breast, roasted boneless turkey legs and thighs, prime rib, roasted pork loin and baked cod. The buffet also features salads and breads, vegetables and starch sides and assorted desserts. Cost is $60 for adults, $24 for children 6 to 12.

Water's Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook offers a special Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $69 for adults, $29 for children ages 6 to 10, free for children 5 and under. 

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook offers a special Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a carving station with roasted turkey, prime rib and glazed ham. Cost is $89.95 for adults, $39.95 for children.

Madison Beach Hotel in Madison hosts its Thanksgiving brunch buffet in its ballroom from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with soups and salads, raw bar, made to order omelets, a carving station with roast turkey breast, prime rib and rack of lamb; hot entrees and desserts. Advanced reservations are required. Adults are $85, children ages 6 to 12 are $45 and children under 5 are free. 

The restaurant also offers a full Thanksgiving dinner to go, with soup or salad, roast turkey breast, stuffing, sides, gravy, bread and pumpkin pie. Cost is $195; the meal feeds four to six people. Orders must be placed by Nov. 18 for pickup on Nov. 24.

The Hilton Mystic in Mystic hosts a Thanksgiving buffet, including charcuterie and local cheese, soups and salads, carving station with roasted turkey and pork loin, a hot station with additional entrees and sides, a mashed potato bar, desserts and kids' options. Adults are $55, children 5 to 11 are $22.50, children under 5 are free. All tickets are pre-paid. 

Shipwright's Daughter in Mystic offers a $95 prix-fixe menu with choice of starter, entree and dessert, along with family-style sides. Main course options include roasted heritage turkey, grilled swordfish, prime ribeye or roasted cauliflower steak. Sommelier Kathleen Standridge has also chosen select wines to pair with the dinner. A children's meal option is $35. 

Mohegan Sun restaurants offer assorted Thanksgiving specials, including turkey dinners at Hash House A Go Go, Michael Jordan's Steak House and MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, and Todd English's Tuscany. Jasper White's Summer Shack offers a clambake meal with lobster, clams, mussels, corn, potato and chorizo, and TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge features roasted duck dumplings with Szechuan duck gravy, spiced fig and blackberry chutney.

To-go options

Stew Leonard's in Danbury, Newington and Norwalk offers a full Thanksgiving catering menu with appetizers, main courses, sides, desserts and full dinners for four or eight guests with turkey, ham or surf and turf.

Luna Azzurra in Fairfield offers a $250 full Thanksgiving dinner for 6 to 8 people, including a whole cooked turkey and sides like apple nut stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, cranberry sauce and gravy. Individual turkey dinners with "all the fixings" are $30 each. Orders must be in by Nov. 17. 

Mike's Organic is selling fresh pastured turkeys from Autumn's Harvest Farm in Romulus, N.Y.  All turkeys are vacuum-sealed along with cooking instructions and tips. Prepared sides and pies are also available. Order by Nov. 18 for delivery or pick up at Mike's Organic in Stamford. 

Brick Walk Tavern in Fairfield offers a $250 to-go turkey dinner for five people, including roast turkey breast, choice of 3 sides and choice of a bottle of red or white wine. A la carte sides like mashed potatoes, loaded sausage stuffing, maple roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet yams, are $60 to $75. Order online at brickwalktavern.com/orders/thanksgiving-to-go/order.

Wildacre Rotisserie in Greenwich offers a Thanksgiving to-go meal for four to six guests, with whole-roasted chicken, crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted sweet potatoes, autumn harvest salad, sage gravy, cranberry and roasted citrus sauce, and choice of pie. Cost is $195. Pre-order by Nov. 19 for pickup on Nov. 24.

AMG Catering & Events in Wilton offers a full Thanksgiving catering menu with appetizer platters, roasted turkey with fresh herbs and pan gravy, cornbread stuffing, mac and cheese, vegetable sides, salads, biscuits, cornbread, pies and mini-parfaits. Minimum orders for 20 people. Place orders by Nov. 13.

Seasonal Catering in Milford offers a menu of Thanksgiving appetizers, sides, salads, entrees of roast turkey and autumn spice pork loin and desserts. Order by Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. at seasonalcatering.net.

Match Burger Lobster in Westport offers a holiday menu with turkeys ranging from 14 to 22 pounds (along with turkey breast and legs), reheatable sides like charred baby Brussels sprouts, Match scalloped potatoes, bourbon sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce. Dessert options include 12-layer chocolate cake and assorted pies. Order online at toasttab.com.  

Max Catering & Events offers full turkey dinners for two to 14 people, including gravy, sides and a pie, along with a la carte options for turkey and other entrees, sides, desserts and wine. Pickup locations are in West Hartford, Glastonbury and Springfield, Mass., and delivery is available within 25 miles of each pickup location for $50. Visit maxrestaurantgroup.com/maxtogo.

Bear’s Smokehouse, with locations in Hartford, New Haven and Windsor, offers whole smoked turkeys and turkey breast, ham, brisket, baby back ribs and Impossible meatloaf. The menu also features sides, salads, appetizers, breads and pies. A $185 meal for 6 to 8 people includes a whole smoked turkey, assorted sides and cornbread. Place orders online at bearsbbq.com.

Que Whiskey Kitchen in Southington offers whole smoked turkeys for $99. The 17-pound turkey, which feeds 10 guests, will include serving instructions and an order of cornbread with whipped cinnamon butter. Place orders by Nov. 23 for pickup between 9 a.m. and noon on Thanksgiving Day.

Wood-n-Tap restaurants, with nine locations in Connecticut, offer whole pumpkin cheesecakes for the dessert table. Cost is $42; desserts must be ordered 24 hours in advance and picked up by Nov. 23.
